Chinese manufacturer BYD has announced a three-year strategic partnership with FC Internazionale Milano (Inter), becoming the club’s new Global Automotive Partner.
The agreement marks an important step in the union between the automotive sector and football, connecting two internationally renowned brands.
With over 533 million fans worldwide, Inter is the second-fastest-growing football club in fan base over the past five years. In China, BYD’s home country, the team is among the most popular, with over 154 million followers. In South America—a strategic region for the Chinese brand—Inter has approximately 90 million fans.
The partnership provides for a broad and integrated collaboration, with joint marketing and global activation initiatives. As part of the agreement, BYD will provide approximately 70 vehicles for use by Inter’s board of directors, coaching staff, and first-team squad. The club will also receive a special edition BYD Sealion 7, custom-designed in Nerazzurri colors. This version will later be released in a limited edition for fans.

According to Stella Li, Vice President of BYD, the partnership is strengthened by the shared values between the two organizations. She emphasizes that the name BYD stands for ‘Build Your Dreams,’ and the collaboration is a dream come true for all football lovers.
On Inter’s side, the club’s Chief Revenue Officer, Giorgio Ricci, celebrated BYD’s selection by announcing the creation of content and experiences capable of engaging fans across all continents. Ricci noted that being the brand’s first partner club is a source of pride, especially at a time of global expansion.
Exclusive BYD vehicle purchase and rental programs for Inter fans will also be implemented internationally, with more details to be announced soon. The collaboration will also be strategic for the launch of DENZA—BYD’s premium brand—in Europe in the coming months.
