Ozzy Osbourne has died at the age of 76. The British singer, known as the “Prince of Darkness,” was the frontman of the band Black Sabbath and one of the greatest artists in rock history.
Artists and friends of Ozzy took to social media to pay tribute and say goodbye to the artist. The band Metallica posted a heartbreaking message along with an archived image of them, mourning the artist’s death.
Many recalled the singer’s farewell concert a few days ago. Others expressed their gratitude for everything the artist did for heavy metal.
The band Pantera wrote: “Thank you for everything you did for metal and Pantera. We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Amy & Louis, we’re so sorry for your loss.”
Elton John, singer
“I’m very saddened by the news of Ozzy Osbourne’s death. He was a dear friend and a great pioneer who secured his place in the pantheon of rock gods—a true legend. He was also one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. I will miss him terribly. To Sharon and her family, my condolences and love.”
