The new season of the series South Park angered the White House by placing US President Donald Trump in bed with the devil. Trump is portrayed as a politician resistant to challenge, with declining popularity and oblivious to the pressure he receives.
The series also mentions Trump’s alleged involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, a storyline involving sex trafficking and pedophilia. President Trump’s possible connection to the case has been speculated for years, but there is no evidence to date.
The provocation against Trump appeared in the first episode of the 27th season, which aired on Wednesday (23). In bed, the devil questions Trump for appearing on Epstein’s list. “It’s weird that every time this happens, you just tell everyone to relax,” says the devil.

The episode, called “Sermon on the Mount,” makes several references to recent events that have tarnished the president’s image. One of them was the argument with the Canadian prime minister. The US president threatens to bomb Canada and confuses Iran with Iraq.
In the episode, Trump also sues the town of South Park for $5 billion. The moment is an allusion to Paramount, which Trump sued for alleged “election interference.”
Trump’s Response
In a statement to Rolling Stone, the White House called the episode an example of “left-wing hypocrisy”:
“This show hasn’t been relevant in over 20 years and is hanging by a thread, using uninspired ideas in a desperate bid for attention. President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in the history of our country—and no second-rate show will derail President Trump’s winning streak,” said a White House representative.
